Shreyas iyer was born on 6th December, in Mumbai. He belongs to Tamil family. His father name is santosh iyer and mother name is Rohini iyer and he has a sister too. Shreyas iyer full name is shreyas santosh iyer.

His career as a cricket player:-

Santosh iyer used to play gully cricket and small matches around his locality in his childhood. In 2014 he got chance to play in Trent Bridge cricket team. He got well experienced playing in the team.

Achievements:-

Shreyas iyer played in Ranji trophy and scored 8O3 runs in 2014 for his mumbai team his score include 2 centuries and 6 half centuries.

Again Next year in Ranji trophy he scored 1321 runs which include 4 centuries and 7 half centuries. He became top scorer in that game.

On October 2017 he got chance to play for team India against New zealand in 20-20 game but in that match he didn't got chance to bat but on 3rd November 2017 he finally got chance to bat and scored 23 runs of 21 balls.

Again in Nov 2017 he got chance to play in one day innings and he also played ODI debut against srilanka.

On 24 January 2020,he scored 50 runs from 29 balls against New Zealand and got the title of man of the match in T20 game.

He played his first IPL match for his IPL team Delhi capitals. He was given 2.6 crores rupees to join the team and he became the captain of the team too.
